Canadian. 1830s. Painted pine. Photographed on page 317 in Howard Pain's "The Heritage of Upper Canadian Furniture" as plate 843. The horizontal stretchers are fixed to the trestles with one broad dovetail and the crossed stretchers are tenoned. The top is finished with a wooden-pinned breadboard cleat.
