C. 1840s. The famous "half cupboard" as featured in Michael Bird's, "A Splendid Harvest" (plate 84). Bird considered this "one of the most striking examples of painted furniture found in Waterloo County". Sawed into two sections in 1950, only this half and an additional drawer remain.
