This rare Canadian Only Mercury pick up has been the recipient of a frame off Show quality restoration. The Mercury moniker found only on Canadian built pick up trucks from 1946 thru 1968. Ford of Canada built these examples in Oakville Ontario for Canadian dealer delivery only. For the most part the Mercury truck was similar to the Ford F - series trucks but trimmed in Mercury M series badging. Many of the Mercury models seen further trim and badging then its Ford cousin. This makes the Mercury truck a sought after oddity by both Canadian and US collectors.
This all steel ,corrosion free example was refinished in Fords Torch Red topped with Ermine White cab roof. With exceptional finish this example has been trimmed with an easily removed vinyl Pepsi Cola door decals.
This decaling could be left as is, removed or changed to your favorite Cola company.
This example is a top end model as it is a Custom Cab.
The �Custom Cab� offered a top level trim that in this example included deluxe interior trim, full headliner and side trim, cloth seat, deluxe door panels, this example boasts a correct under dash heater, and a unique and correct round� factory AM radio and ceiling mounted speaker, a correct and rare option today.
The M-100 is very well trimmed throughout including front and rear polished bumpers, MERCURY running board step plates, correct original Mercury tailgate, correct script hubcaps, original FO-MO-CO Amber fog lights, all correct chrome script including MERCURY hood lettering, �OVERDRIVE� script found on hood and CUSTOM CAB door emblems.
Mechanically this truck has been equally restored, the original Flat Head Ford V8 motor has been rebuilt and is equipped with a 3 speed standard transmission with overdrive.
