Canadian. Circa 1940. Signed, lower right quarter. Titled "Slough Lake" on reverse in fountain pen. Titled, Slough Lake. George Thomson was the eldest brother of Tom Thomson, of The Group of Seven. He resided in Owen Sound Ontario painting landscapes across the province. Sight 11.5 x 9.5". Original, unrestored. Retained in original frame. Owned by a single family.
