American. 1900s. 6� x 2.5� x 6.75�H This tiny cast iron sewing machine was manufactured by the Smith & Egge Manufacturing Co. of Bridgeport, Conn. in the early 1900�s. It has a hand crank mechanism and makes a chain stitch. It is missing the tension and the clamp. Patent dates on the cloth plate are June 2, 1896, Jan. 26, 1897 and Oct. 19, 1897. Condition 7.
