Canadian. 1901. The only example known to exist. Debossed lithographed tin. Scripted, "'Berlin' Lion Brewery (arched) Lager Beer" and "C.N. Huether, Prop." underneath. The center depicts a lion's head cartouche flanked with hop leaves. The Berlin Lion Brewery was established in 1900 by sole proprietor Christopher Nicholas Huether. Marked "THE F. TUCHFARBER Co. MAN'F'R'S. CIN.O. 6-01". Sight 14 x 19". Retained in original oak frame. The circle surrounding the lion's head has minor loss to gilt surface in the lower right quarter. Minor surface haze in areas. Flecks to lower edge with dabs of touchup (well outside of the gilt border). CODE:BRE
