Description
American. 1934. Painted black and gold art deco case with nickel plated trim. When this exhilarating game of odds was introduced by Pace Manufacturing Company in 1934, it quickly became the largest money-making machine of its kind. Like a real horse race, each player bets on a chosen horse by depositing a nickel into the respective slot. When the lever is pushed, the horses race, the odds change, and the winner is rewarded with 2-30 nickels. Stamped, "Paces Races Incorporated, Chicago, U.S.A". 45 x 20 x 37.5" (H). Professionally restored cosmetically and mechanically. CODE:COOP
