Saturday’s kick-off includes rare gems from the personal stash of Peter Klutt: the television personality who founded the Legendary Motorcar Company. Peter found some of the rarest discoveries between 2002-2012 while hosting his hit television series ‘Dream Car Garage’ and they have not seen the light of day until now. Offered are several of his porcelain dealer signs (Sunoco, Gulf, Imperial-Esso) and Coca-Cola advertising including rare curb signs and an outstanding Vendo 44. Other highlights on December 7 include a 24” White Rose Dealer sign hung from its original bracket, a stunning Packard DSP dealer sign, an almost pristine 4’ x 8’ Coca-Cola porcelain sign, an International Trucks dealer sign, and an impressive lineup of Bennett, Wayne, and visible gas pumps. December 7, featuring the Peter Klutt Collection, is a sale not to be missed. The second session on December 8 was built on the treasure trove of historical advertising discovered in the estate of the late John Michael Durrant. The Durrant estate collection includes some of the rarest historical advertising and Canadian fruit jars to ever surface in Canada. This sale includes some of the ‘holy grails’ across multiple categories of the Canadian advertising: in tobacco, the Black Cat Cigarettes SSP; in soda, the Chero Crush syrup dispenser; in Breweriana, the St. Bernard tray; in Petroliana, Peter Klutt’s En-ar-co ‘Slate Boy’ trade sign; in overalls, a tie for first with Peabody’s and Carhardtt’s, each in time capsule condition. Other historical highlights include two Canadian National Railway number plates and The Lunenburg Marine Railway Sign, each with an incredible story. Shipping Terms
Our in-house shipping department can safely package and ship your order locally and internationally.
