Join us for the October 13th Canadian Folk Art Auction. Featuring offerings of varied and distinguished folk art dated mainly from the 1950’s onward. With inclusions from the Rutter Family collection and the Cooper Family Collection, along with select additions, this diverse and exciting sale offers a wide range of sought after and collected artists from the Maritimes, Quebec and Ontario. Artists such as Maud Lewis, Joe Norris, Joseph Sleep, Collins Eisenhaur, and Wilfrid Richard are well represented, along with exciting works by lesser known but equally interesting artists such as Phyllis Cosman of Nova Scotia, and newly discovered F.A.Gay of the Niagara region. A rare titled Maud Lewis, “The Gap”, along with two early Maud Lewis paintings are also being offered. “Freak Show”, a rarely offered component of Gaston Bergeron’s famous travelling circus and a select few choice older pieces by unknown, but talented early folk artists are also showcased. It is rare to see many folk carvings from Newfoundland, so we are pleased to offer an exemplary scene of a woman feeding her chickens by Leslie D. Lush, of Glenwood, Newfoundland. Representing the third wave of Nova Scotia Folk Art are works by Barry Colpitts of East Ship Harbour, Nova Scotia. A sale not to be missed.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and cash. A certified cheque or wire transfer is required for all invoices over $5,000.

Shipping Terms
Our in-house shipping department can safely package and ship your order locally and internationally.
