Join us for the October 12th Canadiana auction. With inclusions from the Rutter Family collection and the Wendy and the late Bill Hamilton collection, along with select additions, this diverse and exciting sale offers objects ranging from hard-to-find museum-quality pieces to the basic “signature” items that form the cornerstone of every collection. Included are burl bowls, weathervanes, sculpture, a rare miniature Alaskan kayak, a collection of canoe cups, decorated gameboards, an extremely rare Ontario fraktur with two birds by Anna Weber, and some terrific decoys for all budgets. Cast iron toys and banks are well represented with some rare examples such as a Toronto “Trader’s Bank” in great condition. Stoneware includes several “bird” and merchant crocks, a rare Picton footwarmer and an F.P. Goold crock with a horse motif in cobalt blue. Other ceramics are “Arctic Scenery” plates, a collection of “Rabbitware”, a coloured Furnival “Maple Leaf” plate and several pieces of “Canadian Sports”. Early lighting is also well represented and early iron objects include a pair of hand wrought gates and a Canada West percussion rifle. Furniture will be scattered throughout the sale with highlights including a documented Renfrew County food locker, a Quebec “deux corps” in paint, an arch top Waterloo County corner cupboard, an exceptional dining table, two New Brunswick mahogany sideboards, a Degant Windsor, a Bellerose longcase clock, and several one-drawer stands. Shipping Terms
Our in-house shipping department can safely package and ship your order locally and internationally.
